Sourcing Our Sourcing teams are all geared to new product developments, sourcing is quite unique at ALDI. We are growing with the rest of the business and pull together to achieve our goals. It means we get to see every product that comes into the business, enhance the customer experience, and influence the brand. Buying Our Buying teams have one incredibly important aim: to make sure we continue providing our customers with high-quality products at the best value for money. That means we have to understand what our customers want and how we can meet their needs. It is high-pressure work where we have to adapt quickly and rely on our entrepreneurial mindset. We spend most of our time dealing with people outside the ALDI business, negotiating and building relationships. Quality Our Quality Assurance teams make sure that every product adheres to a defined quality level. We are committed to exceeding the expectations of our customers. So before anything goes out to our stores, we perform multiple “spot checks”. We inspect every product, making sure that it meets legal standards and our very high expectations. Supply Chain Management Our supply chain management is an extremely important part of the business, as we consistently strive to make our processes as cost-effective and efficient as possible. And the more we grow, the more important supply chain management becomes. Supply chain management is the management of the flow of goods and services and includes all processes that transform raw materials into final products. It involves actively streamlining the supply-related activities of a business in order to maximise customer value and gain a competitive edge on the market. Sustainability We are committed to conducting business the right way, for all the right reasons. Everything we do is designed to ensure that we keep our partners, our suppliers and, of course, our customers happy. Happy with our products, our service and everything we stand for. Therefore, Sustainability at ALDI covers six key areas: resources, consumers, suppliers, community, our people, as well as energy and the environment. All areas are currently placing focus on them as we continue to make sure we are as fair, ethical and charitable as possible. Corporate Function Our Corporate Support team provide the support, the discipline, and the leadership skills that helps us make our mark. It includes our administration, finance and accounting, information technology and human resources departments. They all provide best practices and technology based on their specialised knowledge in order to support our operative teams.
