Senior Specialist Supply Chain Management – Ocean Freight Consolidation

Your Responsibilities

  • SOP Governance – Oversee and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure consistency and compliance in logistics operations. This includes developing, implementing, and modifying to optimize process and ensure the SOP reflects the operations and consistent across the business.
  • Regular Business Review – Conducting periodic business reviews to evaluate logistics performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets. This involves analyzing data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions to optimize logistics operations.
  • Continuous Improvement – Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and cost reduction. This includes identifying process bottlenecks, implementing best practices, and leveraging technology and data analytics to streamlines logistics processes in end-to-end supply chain.
  • Project Coordination – Coordinating and overseeing logistics projects, such as new process launches, process improvement, or ad-hoc projects. This involves working with cross-functional teams, setting project goals, establishing timelines, and ensuring successful project execution.
  • Escalation Handling and Problem-Solving – Addressing and resolving special issues, exceptions, and stakeholders’ queries related to logistics operations. This requires effective communication, problem-solving skills, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain Relationship – Building and maintaining relationships with services providers and internal teams. This involves regular communication, negotiation and collaboration for developing strong partnerships and good understanding on market trends and industry update.
  • Conduct RFQ – Conduct Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes to obtain competitive bids from service provide. This includes evaluation and negotiation with potential service providers, and review of contract terms and conditions.
  • Support Manager on ad-hoc tasks as assigned

Your Requirements

  • At least tertiary education with minimum 6 years of full-time relevant experience, preferably in Carrier/ Freight Forwarder/ Buying/ Sourcing offices
  • Experience in reporting and analytics support in logistics field is advantageous
  • Good command of both verbal and written business English as well as fluency in Mandarin essential
  • Excellent analytic, problem solving and project management skills
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills, team player
  • Attention to details and good organizational, coordination and planning skills
  • High level of computer literacy: MS Office and Exchange; advanced Excel knowledge
