Senior Specialist Quality (Hardgoods)

Your Responsibilities
- Responsible for quality related tasks of the assigned product categories
- Work with factory/ sourcing & buying teams/ external service providers to execute orders as per the agreed critical path
- Review/ approve samples/ artworks/ certificates/ quality related reports to ensure product is met with company quality standard and legal requirement before shipment
- Follow up quality related issues and propose feasible solutions/ improvement plans
- Support to build/ update testing protocols on existing/ new products of the assigned product categories across all consumer markets
- Conduct product risk assessment and provide technical advice/ recommend appropriate modifications to factory if necessary
- Provide regular update to (Senior) Quality Manager/ counterparts on order status/ quality issues as required
- Lead a small team of Specialists to achieve high level of performance and work efficiency
- Co-ordinate with Sustainability department to ensure production facilities comply to company’s requirement
- Conduct factory visit and create reports where necessary
- Proactively conduct research and connect with local/ regional/ global counterparts on the latest regulatory and corporate requirement updates
- Communicate/ provide training to factories on ALDI quality approval process
- Handle customer complaints or enquiries where necessary
- Handle ad-hoc task assigned by (Senior) Quality Manager
Your Requirements
- At least (Non-Degree) Tertiary education required
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant working experience, preferably gained in third party testing lab, sourcing/buying offices, working with general hardgoods
- Hands-on experience with QA duties and testing standard of houseware products is highly advantageous
- Leadership sense; experience of managing subordinate will be an advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a good team player
- Good command of both verbal and written business English and fluency in Mandarin essential
- Able to work independently, self-motivated, responsible, well-organized and willing to learn
- Attention to detail and good organizing, coordination and planning skills
- General knowledge of MS office and Exchange essential
- High level of maturity, integrity, trustworthiness
