Your Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic quality initiatives for product quality

• Manages and enhances quality control/assurance procedures according to department, company and legal requirements

• Manages project plans, monitors and reviews project progress and timelines, adjusts schedules and plans according to season and priorities, and resolves issues to ensure project success

• Researches and investigates the relevant quality requirements in preparation for submissions, completing the submission process in line with company procedures

• Approves Quality Assurance Certificate and makes decision on quality issues

• Ensures that the relevant documents related to tender, submission, awarding of contracts and shipments are correct and complete

• Manages 3rd party test houses including quarterly performance review meetings and bi-annual tenders

• Manages the in-house testing evaluation process and implement any required changes and updates to procedures

• Drives product quality with production facilities through a deep understanding of specific production processes and ALDI product requirements

• Maintain close relationships with national/ international departments and represent Hong Kong Office in international working groups

• Acts as the key person in charge to facilitate cross departmental cooperation and provides support with regard to Quality related topics

• Coach and develop a team of Managers, Senior Specialists and Specialists

• Manages commodity groups and adopts a strategic approach towards the continuous development of the supplier base in conjunction with the Quality Assurance, Sourcing, Buying and Compliance

Your Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management or a relevant discipline

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in a similar position, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Preferably in sourcing or buying offices, focusing on consumer products such as Small Domestic Appliances, Textile, Food products would be advantageous.

• Proficient in both verbal and written business English; fluency in Mandarin is a plus

• Excellent problem-solving and management skills, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment

• A dedicated team player with excellent communication skills

• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational abilities

• Well-versed in MS Office applications
