Your Responsibilities
- Manages and implements quality control and assurance procedures in accordance with departmental, company, and legal requirements
- Monitors the production processes for all purchased products, proactively identifying and resolving issues within the team in a timely manner
- Researches and investigates relevant quality requirements in preparation for submissions, ensuring completion of the submission process in line with company procedures
- Finalizes quality comparison documents and provides advice on the product quality of individual samples.
- Ensures that all relevant documents related to tenders, submissions, contract awards, and shipments are accurate and complete
- Drives product quality in production facilities through a thorough understanding of specific production processes and ALDI product requirements
- Conducts factory assessments and production visits as required, including on-site follow-ups for corrective action plans
- Implements and manages proactive initiatives with production facilities aligned with departmental sustainability processes and goals
- Plans, arranges, and attends regular trips in accordance with production control and sustainability development objectives
- Oversees and controls the creation and approval of artwork in compliance with company and departmental procedures
- Provides after-sales service support for items within designated commodity areas, including coordination with after-sales service providers and ALDI national teams
- Communicates effectively with Sourcing, Sustainability, Administration, and Supply Chain Management team members to ensure the success of direct buying operations. Collaborates with colleagues to share information and best practices, undertaking shared or individual responsibilities as defined by the Sourcing Director.
- Supports visits to Asia by ALDI buyers during supplier and manufacturer engagements as needed
Your Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in a similar position, preferably in sourcing or buying offices, focusing on general hardgoods products
- Proficient in both verbal and written business English; fluency in Mandarin is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and management skills, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
- A dedicated team player with excellent communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
- Well-versed in MS Office applications
