Manager Quality (Projects)

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic quality initiatives with project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate project activities and ensure that project goals are met within the specified timeframe.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks throughout the project lifecycle to identify and address any issues or risks.
  • Determine dependencies and milestones, collect action items, and take meeting minutes.
  • Maintain team and meeting calendar to ensure efficient coordination and scheduling.
  • Review project implementation and gather data on project execution to assess performance and quality standards.
  • Oversee project goals, identify key risks, and develop mitigations to ensure project success.
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project execution.
  • Ensure alignment to company policies and procedures by frequent communication and close interaction with different business units.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the product manufacturing process, including product design, raw materials, production planning, quality control, assembly processes, supply chain management, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate experience working in a global team environment, including proficiency in cross-cultural communication, virtual team management, time zone coordination, language skills, cultural sensitivity, conflict resolution, and adaptability to diverse backgrounds.
  • Maintain close relationships with national/international departments and represent ALDI Hong Kong office in international working groups.
  • Acts as the key person in charge to facilitate cross departmental cooperation and provides support with regard to Quality related topics.

Your Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management or other relevant disciplines
  • Minimum of 7 years’ relevant working experience in similar position, preferably gained in sizable sourcing/ buying offices/ testing laboratories
  • Experience in project management in Quality Assurance field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with counterparts in non-scientific positions
  • Good command of both verbal and written business English and fluency in Mandarin is advantageous
  • Attention to details and strong organizational, coordination and planning as well as problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and best practices is an advantage
  • Well versed in MS Office applications
