Your Responsibilities
- Manages and implements quality control/assurance procedures according to department, company and legal requirements.
- Monitors the production process for all purchased products. Identifies any issues and resolves them within the team in a proactive and timely manner.
- Researches and investigates the relevant quality requirements in preparation for submissions, completing the submission process in line with company procedures.
- Finalises quality comparison documents and advises on the product quality of individual samples.
- Ensures that the relevant documents related to tender, submission, awarding of contracts and shipments are correct and complete.
- Drives product quality with production facilities through a deep understanding of specific production processes and ALDI product requirements.
- Performs Factory Assessments / Production visits when required including on-site follow up of corrective action plans.
- Implements and manages active steps with production facilities in line with the department CR process and CR goals.
- Plans, arranges and attends regular trip in line with production control and factory CR development.
- Manages and controls artwork creation and approval in line with company and department procedures.
- Follows up after sales service support for items within his/her commodity areas including liaising with after sales service providers and ALDI national teams.
- Effectively communicates with Sourcing, CR, Admin and Supply Chain Management team members to ensure the success of Direct Buying operations. Works in a team with colleagues to share information and best practice. Undertakes shared or individual team responsibilities as defined by the Sourcing Director.
- Supports visits to Asia of ALDI buyers during visits to suppliers / manufacturers when required.
Your Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management or other relevant disciplines
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant working experience in similar position, preferably gained in sourcing/ buying offices, working with DIY (hand tools) or electrical products
- Good command of both verbal and written business English and fluency in Mandarin is advantageous
- High level of maturity, integrity, trustworthiness
- Strong problem solving and management skill with the ability to adapt to fast-paced environment
- A good team player with committed personality and strong communication skills
- Attention to details with strong organizational skills
- Well versed in MS Office applications
